Sony recently announced a new range of Android 2.3 (GingerBread) based Z series Walkman in the US. With its launch, Sony makes an attempt to compete with Apple iPod Touch and Samsung Galaxy Player. The company is launching three versions of Android based Walkmans namely NWZ-Z1040 (8GB), NWZ-Z1050 (16GB) and NWZ-Z1060 (32GB). Sony Walkman Z Series is the first-ever Walkman mobile entertainment product from Sony accompanied with Android operating system. It has designed for true music lovers.
Main focus of the company is to provide a supreme personal audio experience to its users. Therefore, Sony Z series Walkman is integrated with S-Master MX digital amplifier technology to reduce noise levels and distortion. With Wi-Fi built in feature, Walkman Z Series connects directly with millions of songs. Users, with Sony latest series, can enjoy pre-installed applications and the ever-growing range at Android Market. Users can also connect Walkman with TV for super-size enjoyment of videos, games and photos with micro HDMI out for high definition fun. It has equipped with a low reflection LCD screen for amazing visual experience. It has unique low-reflection 10.9cm multi-touch LCD screen. It comes with 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor.
Sony Z series Walkman supports music formats like Mp3, WMA, AAC, Linear PCM and video formats namely AVC, MPEG 4 and WMV 9. It comes with 20 hours of music playback and 5 hours of video playback. This Walkman is available in various storage options of 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB capacities from late February 2012 on the Sony official stores at various locations all over the world.
