The ugly head of company competition and corporate politics has once again been shown in the bickering between Adobe and Apple.

Apple just booted out Adobe’s programs as a tool for developers to use with the new iPhone 4.0 OS. End users may not be familiar with the tool, but many developers choose to develop applications on Adobe Flash Professional and then compile their work as an iPhone compatible application. The new Flash Professional CS5’s biggest feature is its Flash to iPhone compiler. Just hours before the launch of the device, Apple unveiled their new license agreement –effectively rendering the key function of Flash Pro Cs5 as completely worthless.

What followed was a series of angry and resentful statements from both sides of the field as Apple took a pot shot at the Flash developer.

Anyway, it seems that the industry has been keeping an open ear to the events and Google, fresh from having stood by HTC after it was accused by Apple of patent infringement, has once again made its stand, this time beside Adobe.

Andy Rubin, current VP of Google’s engineering department, has expressed his thoughts in a recent blog post: “Google believes that developers should have their choice of tools and technologies to create applications. By supporting Adobe AIR on Android we hope that millions of creative designers and developers will be able to express themselves more freely when they create applications for Android devices. More broadly, AIR will foster rapid and continuous innovation across the mobile ecosystem.”

“Google is happy to be partnering with Adobe to bring the full web, great applications, and developer choice to the Android platform. Our engineering teams have been working closely to bring both AIR and Flash Player to Google’s mobile operating system and devices. The Android platform is enjoying great adoption, and we expect our work with Adobe will help that growth continue.” Find the latest Android phone deals visit Moby1 today.
